स हतान् दृश्य रामेण स्वाँल्लोकांस्तपसार्जितान्।
जामदग्न्यो जगामाशु महेन्द्रं पर्वतोत्तमम्॥ २२॥

भगवान राम के द्वारा छोड़े गए बाण से तपस्या द्वारा अर्जित पुण्य लोकों को नष्ट होते देख परशुराम शीघ्र ही उत्तम महेन्द्र पर्वत पर चले गए।
Seeing the virtuous worlds, which he had earned through austerities, destroyed by the arrow shot by Lord Rama, Parasurama quickly went to the excellent Mahendra mountain.
