न किंचिदवदद् विप्रं मौनव्रतमुपास्थित:।
तथैवासीत् पुनर्मौनमनुच्छ्वासं चकार ह॥ ७॥ |

| फिर भी उन्होंने उस ब्राह्मण से कुछ नहीं कहा। उन्होंने अपने मौन व्रत का अक्षरशः पालन किया। इसके बाद उन्होंने पुनः पहले की तरह बिना श्वास लिए मौन व्रत का अनुष्ठान आरम्भ कर दिया। |
