पृथिव्याश्चापि निर्भेदो दृष्ट एव सनातन:।
सगरस्य च पुत्राणां विनाशो दीर्घदर्शिनाम्॥ ४॥ |

| 'यह पृथ्वी का छेदन नित्य है - प्रत्येक कल्प में अवश्यम्भावी है। (यह श्रुति और स्मृतियों में प्रयुक्त सगर आदि शब्दों से स्पष्ट है।) इसी प्रकार दूरदर्शी पुरुषों ने सगर के पुत्रों का भावी विनाश भी देख लिया है; अतः इस विषय में शोक करना अनुचित है।' |

| ‘This piercing of the earth is eternal – it is inevitable in every Kalpa. (This is clearly evident from the words like Sagar etc. used in Shrutis and Smritis.) Similarly, far-sighted men have also seen the future destruction of Sagar's sons; hence it is inappropriate to grieve on this matter.' |
