तद्धि यज्ञफलं तेन मैथिलेनोत्तमं धनु:।
याचितं नरशार्दूल सुनाभं सर्वदैवतै:॥ १२॥ |

| हे पुरुषश्रेष्ठ! मिथिला के राजा ने अपने यज्ञ के पुरस्कार स्वरूप वह उत्तम धनुष माँगा था; अतः समस्त देवताओं और भगवान शंकर ने उन्हें वह धनुष प्रदान किया। उस धनुष का मध्य भाग जो मुट्ठी में पकड़ा जाता है, अत्यंत सुन्दर है॥12॥ |
