नाकीर्तयदवज्ञानात् तद् रक्षो मानुषांस्तदा।
तस्मात् स मानुषाद् वध्यो मृत्युर्नान्योऽस्य विद्यते॥ १४॥ |

| उसने मनुष्यों को तुच्छ समझा, इसलिए उनकी उपेक्षा के कारण उसने अविनाशी होने का वरदान नहीं माँगा। अतः अब वह मनुष्य के ही हाथों मारा जाएगा। मनुष्य के अतिरिक्त अन्य कोई उसकी मृत्यु का कारण नहीं है।॥14॥ |

| ‘He considered humans to be insignificant, so due to his disregard for them he did not ask for the boon of being indestructible. Therefore now he will be killed by the hands of a human being only. No one other than a human being is the cause of his death.’॥ 14॥ |
