तत्पश्चात् अधिरथपुत्र कर्ण ने इन्द्र के समान पराक्रमी अर्जुन को तीन बाणों से घायल किया और श्रीकृष्ण को मारने की इच्छा से उसके शरीर में प्रज्वलित सर्पों के समान पाँच बाण घुसेड़ दिए॥88॥
Thereafter, Karna, the son of Adhiratha, pierced Arjuna, who was as mighty as Lord Indra, with three arrows and with the desire to kill Shri Krishna, inserted five arrows like flaming snakes into his body. 88॥
