स्तार्क्ष्यत्रस्ता भूमिमिवोरगास्ते।

| जैसे गरुड़ से भयभीत सर्प पृथ्वी को भेदकर उसके भीतर घुस जाते हैं, वैसे ही वे तीक्ष्ण अस्त्र उपरोक्त वस्तुओं को भेदकर शीघ्र ही उनके भीतर समा गए। कर्ण के सारे शरीर बाणों से भर गए। सारा शरीर रक्त से नहा गया। इस कारण उस समय क्रोध से उसकी आँखें घूमने लगीं। |
