संजय उवाच
राजन् कुरूणां प्रवरैर्बलैर्भीममभिद्रुतम्।
मज्जन्तमिव कौन्तेयमुज्जिहीर्षुर्धनंजय:॥ १॥
विसृज्य सूतपुत्रस्य सेनां भारत सायकै:।
प्राहिणोन्मृत्युलोकाय परवीरान् धनंजय:॥ २॥ |

| संजय कहते हैं - हे राजन! कौरव सेना के प्रधान योद्धाओं ने कुन्तीपुत्र भीमसेन पर आक्रमण कर दिया था और वह सेनारूपी उस समुद्र में डूबता हुआ प्रतीत हो रहा था। भारत! उस समय उसे बचाने के लिए अर्जुन ने सारथिपुत्र की सेना को छोड़कर उस दिशा में आक्रमण किया और अपने बाणों से शत्रुओं के बहुत से योद्धाओं को यमलोक भेज दिया।॥1-2॥ |
