तेषां च पार्थस्य च मारिषासीद्
देहासुपापक्षपणं सुयुद्धम्।
त्रैलोक्यहेतोरसुरैर्यथाऽऽसीद्
देवस्य विष्णोर्जयतां वरस्य॥ ५॥

फिर जैसे भगवान विष्णु ने तीनों लोकों के राज्य के लिए दैत्यों के साथ युद्ध किया था, उसी प्रकार विजयी योद्धाओं में श्रेष्ठ कुन्तीपुत्र अर्जुन ने अपने शरीर, आत्मा और पापों का नाश करने वाले उन योद्धाओं के साथ घोर युद्ध आरम्भ कर दिया॥5॥
Then, just as Lord Vishnu fought a battle with the demons for the kingdom of the three worlds, in the same way, Kunti's son Arjuna, the best among the victorious warriors, started a fierce battle with those warriors who were going to destroy his body, soul and sins. ॥ 5॥
