अर्जुन के छुरे नामक बाणों से कटकर उन विशाल हाथियों की सूँड़ें देवदार के वृक्षों के समान गिर रही हैं। फिर किरीटी के उन्हीं बाणों से छिन्न-भिन्न होकर वे हाथी अपने सवारों सहित वज्र से घायल हुए पर्वतों के समान नीचे गिर रहे हैं।
The trunks of these huge elephants, cut by Arjuna's arrows called knives, are falling like deodar trees. Then, being shattered by the same arrows of Kiriti, those elephants, along with their riders, are falling down like mountains struck by thunderbolts.
