कृषिश्च पाशुपाल्यं च विशां दानं च धर्मत:।

कृषि, पशुपालन और धर्मानुसार दान देना वैश्यों के कर्तव्य हैं, तथा शूद्र ब्राह्मण, क्षत्रिय और वैश्यों की सेवा के लिए नियुक्त हैं।
Agriculture, animal husbandry and giving charity according to the religion are the duties of the Vaishyas, and the Shudras are appointed to serve the Brahmins, Kshatriyas and Vaishyas.
