तत्पश्चात् किरीटधारी अर्जुन द्वारा फेंके गए अर्धचन्द्र से कटकर वह लट्ठा हाथी से पृथ्वी पर गिर पड़ा। उस समय वह रक्त से भीगा हुआ सिर, पश्चिम की ओर अस्त होते हुए सूर्य के समान शोभायमान हो गया। 19॥
Thereafter, the head of the stick fell on the earth from the elephant after being cut by the half-moon thrown by the crowned Arjuna. At that time, that head, falling drenched in blood, became as beautiful as the sun setting from sunset to the west. 19॥
