तत्पश्चात् किरीटधारी अर्जुन द्वारा फेंके गए अर्धचन्द्र से कटकर वह लट्ठा हाथी से पृथ्वी पर गिर पड़ा। उस समय वह रक्त से भीगा हुआ सिर, पश्चिम की ओर अस्त होते हुए सूर्य के समान शोभायमान हो गया। 19॥
