उसने बड़े जोर से गर्जना की और सूर्य की किरणों के समान चमकने वाले तीन तीखे बाणों से श्रीकृष्ण को और पाँच बाणों से अर्जुन को घायल कर दिया। इतने में ही पाण्डुपुत्र अर्जुन ने उसकी दोनों भुजाएँ काट डालीं॥17॥
He roared loudly, wounding Shri Krishna with three sharp arrows shining like the rays of the sun and Arjuna with five. In the meantime, Arjuna, son of Pandu, cut off both his arms.॥ 17॥
