दृष्ट्वा कर्णं महेष्वासं रथस्थं रथिनां वरम्।
भानुमन्तमिवोद्यन्तं तमो घ्नन्तं दुरासदम्॥ ११॥
न भीष्मव्यसनं केचिन्नापि द्रोणस्य मारिष।
नान्येषां पुरुषव्याघ्र मेनिरे तत्र कौरवा:॥ १२॥ |

| पुरुषसिंह! आदरणीय राजन! महाधनुर्धर एवं महारथियों में श्रेष्ठ दुर्जय वीर कर्ण अपने रथ पर बैठकर उदित होते सूर्य के समान अंधकार को दूर कर रहे थे। उन्हें देखकर भीष्म, द्रोण आदि महारथियों के मारे जाने का दुःख किसी भी कौरव को समझ में नहीं आ रहा था। |
