नानाशस्त्रपुरोवातो द्विपाश्वरथसंवृत:।
गदाविद्युन्महारौद्र: संग्रामजलदो महान्॥ ९॥
भारद्वाजानिलोद्धूत: शरधारासहस्रवान्।

| उस समय विशाल सेना से सुसज्जित, हाथी, घोड़े और रथों से युक्त वह रणमेघ विशाल मेघ के समान दिखाई दे रहा था। नाना प्रकार के अस्त्र-शस्त्र पूर्वा वायु के समान चल रहे थे। गदाएँ बिजली के समान चमक रही थीं। वह रणमेघ अत्यन्त भयानक प्रतीत हो रहा था। द्रोणाचार्य उसे वायु के समान चला रहे थे और उसमें से बाणों के रूप में जल की सहस्रों धाराएँ गिर रही थीं। इस प्रकार अग्नि के समान उठी हुई पाण्डव सेना पर सब ओर से वर्षा हो रही थी।॥9-10॥ |

| At that time, that battle-cloud, equipped with a huge army and filled with elephants, horses and chariots, appeared like a huge cloud. Various types of weapons were blowing like the east wind. The maces were shining like lightning. That battle-cloud appeared very terrifying. Dronacharya was directing it like the wind and thousands of streams of water in the form of arrows were falling from it and thus it was raining from all sides on the Pandava army which had risen like fire.॥9-10॥ |
