हतेश्वरैश्चूर्णितपत्त्युपस्करै-
र्हताश्वसूतैर्विपताककेतुभि:।
महारथैर्भू: शुशुभे विचूर्णितै:
पुरैरिवामित्रहतैर्नराधिप॥ ६॥ |

| हे मनुष्यों के स्वामी! बड़े-बड़े रथ शत्रुओं द्वारा नष्ट किए गए विशाल नगरों की भाँति टुकड़े-टुकड़े हो गए। उनके घोड़े और सारथी मारे गए, ध्वजाएँ और पताकाएँ नष्ट हो गईं। इसी प्रकार, उनके सवार मृत पड़े थे, पैदल सैनिक और अन्य युद्ध उपकरण चकनाचूर हो गए थे। ये सब उस युद्धभूमि की शोभा बढ़ा रहे थे। |

| O lord of men! Big chariots fell to pieces like huge cities destroyed by the enemies. Their horses and charioteers were killed and flags and banners were destroyed. Similarly, their riders were lying dead, foot soldiers and other war equipment were shattered. All these were adding to the beauty of that battlefield. |
