कवच के टुकड़े-टुकड़े हो जाने से वीर सात्यकि ऐसे व्याकुल हो गए जैसे अंकुश से घायल हाथी। उनके घावों से अत्यधिक रक्त बह रहा था। दुर्बल और रक्त से लथपथ होकर उन्होंने अपना धनुष-बाण त्याग दिया और रथ के पिछले भाग में बैठ गए। तब सारथि ने उन्हें तुरंत द्रोणपुत्र से हटाकर दूसरे सारथि के पास बैठा दिया। 68-69.
With his armour torn to pieces, the valiant Satyaki was as distressed as an elephant struck by goads. His wounds were bleeding profusely. Weak and covered in blood, he dropped his bow and arrows and sat in the rear of the chariot. The charioteer then immediately removed him from Drona's son to another charioteer. 68-69.
