समाहितं चात्मनि भारमीदृशं
जगत् तथानित्यमिदं च लक्षये।
निपातितं चाहवशौण्डमाहवे

| ‘मैंने यह दायित्व अपने ऊपर ले लिया है। जब मैं देखता हूँ कि सारा जगत् अनित्य है और युद्धकुशल भीष्म भी युद्ध में मारे गए हैं, तब ऐसे समय में मुझे क्यों भय हो?॥14॥ |
