सोऽतिविद्धो महाराज रथोपस्थ उपाविशत्॥ १६॥
ध्वजयष्टिं परिक्लिश्य कामुक: कामिनीं यथा।

महाराज! उस बाण से बुरी तरह घायल होकर शकुनि रथ के पिछले भाग में दोनों भुजाओं से ध्वजदण्ड पकड़े हुए बैठ गया, जैसे कोई कामातुर पुरुष स्त्री का आलिंगन करता है।
Maharaj! Shakuni, badly wounded by that arrow, sat in the rear part of the chariot holding the flag pole with both his arms, just as a lustful man embraces a woman.
