मुहूर्तमिव राजेन्द्र समाहत्य परस्परम्।
पश्यतां सर्वसैन्यानां वीरावाश्वसतां पुन:॥ ३९॥
असिभ्यां चर्मणी चित्रे शतचन्द्रे नराधिप।
निकृत्य पुरुषव्याघ्रौ बाहुयुद्धं प्रचक्रतु:॥ ४०॥ |

| राजा! उस समय विश्राम कर रही समस्त सेना के सामने ही दोनों ने लगभग दो घण्टे तक एक-दूसरे पर तलवारों से प्रहार किया और एक-दूसरे की सौ अर्धचन्द्राकार चिह्नों से सुशोभित अद्वितीय ढालों को काट डाला। हे नरदेव! फिर दोनों अपनी सिंह भुजाओं से मल्लयुद्ध करने लगे। |
