महाराज! हे प्रजा की रक्षा करने वाले राजा! उस समय पृथ्वी, जो गिरे हुए हाथियों, अनेक टुकड़ों में कटी हुई ध्वजाओं, तथा भूमि पर पड़े हुए स्वर्ण शिखाओं से सुशोभित घोड़ों से आच्छादित थी, जो सात्यकि के बाणों से घायल होकर रक्त से भीगी हुई थी, ऐसी शोभा पा रही थी, मानो वह लाल पुष्पों से युक्त पलाश वृक्षों से आच्छादित हो।
