घोड़ों के मारे जाने पर भी उसी रथ पर खड़े हुए धर्मराज युधिष्ठिर ने भीष्म पर अपनी शक्ति का प्रयोग किया। मृत्यु के पाश के समान तीक्ष्ण एवं भयानक उस शक्ति को सहसा अपनी ओर आते देख भीष्म ने युद्धस्थल में मुड़ी हुई गांठों वाले बाणों से उसे काट डाला।
Even after the horses were killed, Dharmaraja Yudhishthira, standing in the same chariot, used his Shakti on Bhishma. Seeing that Shakti, sharp and dreadful like the noose of death, suddenly coming towards him, Bhishma cut it down on the battlefield with arrows having bent knots.
