दुर्योधन का यह कथन सुनकर आपके सभी वीर पुत्र, जो धृष्टद्युम्न का आगमन सहन नहीं कर सके थे, अपने बड़े भाई की आज्ञा से प्रेरित होकर प्रलयकाल के भयंकर केतु के समान अपने हाथों में अस्त्र-शस्त्र लेकर धृष्टद्युम्न पर टूट पड़े। उनके हाथों में धनुष-बाण थे और वे रथ के पहियों की गड़गड़ाहट के साथ-साथ धनुष की डोरी को भी कंपाकर उसकी टंकार फैला रहे थे।
On hearing this statement of Duryodhana, all your valiant sons, who could not bear the arrival of Dhrishtadyumna, inspired by the command of their elder brother, attacked Dhrishtadyumna with weapons in their hands like the fierce Ketu of the time of doom. They had bows and arrows in their hands and along with the rattling of the wheels of the chariot, they were also making the bowstring vibrate and spread its twang.
