भीमसेन यह देखकर सह न सके कि रणभूमि में आपके धनुर्धर पुत्र ने अपने सारथि विशोक को तीखे बाणों से घायल कर दिया है। उन्होंने क्रोधित होकर अपना दिव्य धनुष हाथ में ले लिया। महाराज! भरतश्रेष्ठ! फिर आपके पुत्र के वध से अत्यन्त कुपित होकर उन्होंने एक पंखयुक्त भाला चलाया और उससे राजा दुर्योधन का उत्तम धनुष काट डाला।॥ 18-20॥
Bhimasena could not bear to see his charioteer Vishoka being hit by sharp arrows in the battlefield by your archer son. He became angry and took his divine bow in his hand. Maharaj! Best of the Bharatas! Then, being very angry for the killing of your son, he aimed a feathered lance and with it cut off the excellent bow of King Duryodhana.॥ 18-20॥
