प्रजास्तत्र विवर्धन्ते वर्षास्विव समुद्रगा:।
नद्य: पुण्यजलास्तत्र गङ्गा च बहुधा गता॥ ३१॥ |

| जैसे वर्षा ऋतु में समुद्र में मिलने वाली नदियाँ बढ़ जाती हैं, वैसे ही वहाँ की जनसंख्या भी बढ़ती रहती है। उस द्वीप में पवित्र जल वाली अनेक नदियाँ बहती हैं। वहाँ गंगा भी अनेक धाराओं में विभाजित दिखाई देती है॥31॥ |

| Just as the rivers flowing into the sea increase in the rainy season, similarly the population there keeps on increasing. Many rivers with sacred water flow in that island. There the Ganges is also seen divided into many streams.॥ 31॥ |
