भीष्म बोले, "हे महाबाहो! पाण्डुपुत्र! आपकी बात सत्य है। जब तक मेरे हाथों में शस्त्र हैं, जब तक मैं उत्तम धनुष लेकर युद्ध के लिए सतर्क और तत्पर हूँ, तब तक इन्द्र, समस्त देवता और दानव भी मुझे रणभूमि में परास्त नहीं कर सकते।"
Bhishma said, "O mighty-armed one! Son of Pandu! What you say is true. As long as I have weapons in my hands, as long as I am alert and prepared for the war with the best bow, then even Indra, all the gods and demons cannot defeat me in the battlefield.
