‘तथापि, यदि देवता कामना से युक्त हों और द्वेष तथा लोभ से युक्त हों, तो (देवत्व के अभाव के कारण) उनकी शक्ति का हम पर कोई प्रभाव नहीं होगा, क्योंकि देवताओं में दैवी स्वभाव ही प्रधान है।॥8॥
‘However, if the gods are filled with desire and are filled with hatred and greed, then (due to their lack of divinity) their power will have no effect on us, because the divine nature is predominant in the gods.॥ 8॥
