जैसे हंस सूखे सरोवर के ऊपर मंडराते रहते हैं और उसमें प्रवेश नहीं करते, वैसे ही जिसका मन चंचल है, जो अज्ञानी है और इन्द्रियों का दास है, वह मनुष्य जीवन का अर्थ त्याग देता है ॥40॥
Just as swans hover over a dry lake and do not enter it, similarly, a person whose mind is restless, who is ignorant and a slave to the senses, abandons the meaning of life. ॥ 40॥
