यक्ष बोले - हे राजन! राजा द्रुपद के यहाँ शिखंडिनी नाम की एक कन्या उत्पन्न हुई थी। किसी विशेष कारणवश उन्होंने अपना पुरुषत्व उसे देकर उसका स्त्रीत्व ग्रहण कर लिया। तब से वे स्त्री रूप में ही घर में रह रहे हैं। स्त्री रूप में होने के कारण ही वे लज्जा के कारण आपके पास नहीं आ रहे हैं।
