हे श्रेष्ठ ब्राह्मण! मार्ग में हमें एक नदी पार करनी थी। इन छह सौ घोड़ों के साथ चार सौ और घोड़े थे। नदी पार कराते समय वे चार सौ घोड़े वितस्ता (झेलम) की तेज धारा में बह गए।
‘O great Brahmin! On the way, we had to cross a river. Along with these six hundred horses, there were four hundred more. While being taken to cross the river, those four hundred horses were swept away in the strong current of Vitasta (Jhelum).
