राजा ने पुण्डरीक नामक यज्ञ किया और उन सभी घोड़ों को ब्राह्मणों में दक्षिणा के रूप में बाँट दिया। तत्पश्चात राजाओं ने उनसे दो-दो सौ घोड़े खरीदकर अपने पास रख लिए।
‘The king performed a sacrifice called Pundarik and distributed all those horses among the Brahmins as dakshina. Thereafter the kings bought two hundred horses each from them and kept them with themselves.
