समानयानो भवितासि मे सखा
प्रभूतवस्त्रो बहुपानभोजन:।

| [तब उन्होंने युधिष्ठिर से कहा—] कंक! आज से तुम मेरे मित्र हो। तुम्हें वही वाहन मिलेगा जिसमें मैं यात्रा करता हूँ। तुम्हारे लिए पहनने के वस्त्र और भोजन आदि की पर्याप्त व्यवस्था होगी। तुम्हें बाह्य कोष, उद्यान और सेना आदि तथा आन्तरिक धन आदि की देखभाल करनी होगी। मेरी आज्ञा से राजमहल का द्वार तुम्हारे लिए सदैव खुला रहेगा; तुमसे कोई परदा नहीं रखा जाएगा॥16॥ |

| [Then he said to Yudhishthira—] Kanka! From today you are my friend. You will get the same vehicle in which I travel. There will be sufficient arrangements for clothes to wear and food etc. for you. You will have to take care of the external treasury, gardens and army etc. and the internal wealth etc. By my order the door of the royal palace will always remain open for you; no veil will be kept from you.॥ 16॥ |
