ह्रेषितं ह्युपशृण्वाने द्रोणे सर्वं विघट्टितम्।
अदेशिका महारण्ये ग्रीष्मे शत्रुवशं गता:।
यथा न विभ्रमेत् सेना तथा नीतिर्विधीयताम्॥ २३॥ |

| (यदि वे आगे रहें तो) अर्जुन के घोड़ों की हिनहिनाहट सुनकर वे भयभीत हो जाएँगे। तब सारी सेना व्याकुल हो जाएगी। इस समय हम लोग पराए देश में हैं, विशाल वन में फंसे हुए हैं, ग्रीष्म ऋतु है और शत्रुओं के वश में आ गए हैं; अतः हमें ऐसा व्यवहार करना चाहिए कि सैनिक उनके शब्द सुनकर भ्रमित न हों॥ 23॥ |
