उस समय, जब सब ओर जल भर जाता है, तब चारों ओर एक ही जल का सागर दिखाई देता है। उस एक सागर के जल में समस्त जड़-चेतन जगत् नष्ट हो जाता है। चन्द्रमा, सूर्य और वायु भी लुप्त हो जाते हैं। ग्रह और तारे भी लुप्त हो जाते हैं॥ 36॥
‘At that time, as water fills up in all directions, only a single ocean of water is visible all around. The entire animate and inanimate world perishes in the water of that one ocean. The moon, sun and air also disappear. The planets and stars disappear.॥ 36॥
