स चापि राजा सह लक्ष्मणेन
वने निवासं पितुरेव शासनात्।
धन्वी चरन् पार्थ मयैव दृष्टो
गिरे: पुरा ऋष्यमूकस्य सानौ॥ ९॥
अनुवाद
कुन्तीनंदन! प्राचीन काल की बात है, जब राजा राम भी अपने पिता की आज्ञा से केवल धनुष लेकर लक्ष्मण के साथ वन में रहते और विचरण करते थे। उस समय मैंने उन्हें ऋष्यमूक पर्वत की चोटी पर भी देखा था॥9॥
Kunti Nandan! It is a story of ancient times when King Rama too, on his father's orders, used to live and roam in the forest with Lakshmana, carrying only a bow in his hand. At that time, I had seen him also on the peak of Rishyamuk mountain.॥9॥
