वेदों में जो वर्णित है, वह धर्म का प्रथम लक्षण है। धर्मशास्त्रों में जो प्रतिपादित है, वह धर्म का दूसरा लक्षण है और शिष्टाचार धर्म का तीसरा लक्षण है। इस प्रकार सुसंस्कृत पुरुषों ने धर्म के तीन लक्षण स्वीकार किए हैं।
What is described in the Vedas is the first characteristic of religion. What is propounded in the religious texts is the second characteristic of religion and etiquette is the third characteristic of religion. In this way, cultured men have accepted three characteristics of religion. 82 1/2.
