उन प्रसन्नचित्त योद्धाओं के आशीर्वाद से अभिनन्दित होकर मैंने श्रेष्ठ ब्राह्मणों से स्वस्ति मन्त्र का उच्चारण करवाया और सिर झुकाकर भगवान शिव को प्रणाम किया। हे पुरुषश्रेष्ठ! तत्पश्चात शैब्य और सुग्रीव नामक घोड़ों द्वारा जुते हुए अपने रथ द्वारा समस्त दिशाओं को गुंजायमान करते हुए, उत्तम पांचजन्य शंख बजाते हुए, विशाल सेना के साथ युद्ध के लिए प्रस्थान किया। मेरी सेना, जो सुव्यवस्थित और सुव्यवस्थित थी, में हाथी, घोड़े, सारथी और पैदल- ये चारों अंग थे। उस समय वह सेना विजय से सुशोभित थी।

Thereafter, echoing all directions with my chariot drawn by the horses named Shaibya and Sugreeva, blowing the best conch Panchjanya, I set out for the battle with a huge army. In my army, which was well-organised and controlled, there were all the four parts - elephants, horses, charioteers and infantry. At that time, that army was adorned with victory.
