स्वल्पवीर्यबला: स्तब्धा लोभमोहपरायणा:।
तत्कथादानसंतुष्टा दुष्टानामपि मानवा:॥ ३१॥
परिग्रहं करिष्यन्ति मायाचारपरिग्रहा:।
समाह्वयन्त: कौन्तेय राजान: पापबुद्धय:॥ ३२॥
परस्परवधोद्युक्ता मूर्खा: पण्डितमानिन:।
भविष्यन्ति युगस्यान्ते क्षत्रिया लोककण्टका:॥ ३३॥ |

| अनुवाद |
| उनका शारीरिक बल और पराक्रम क्षीण हो जाएगा। वे अहंकारी हो जाएँगे और लोभ तथा मोह में डूब जाएँगे। इसी प्रकार, लोगों की बातें करने और उनसे दान लेने में उन्हें आनंद आएगा। वे छल-कपट अपनाकर दुष्टों द्वारा दिया गया दान भी स्वीकार कर लेंगे। हे कुन्तीपुत्र! पापी राजा एक-दूसरे को युद्ध के लिए ललकारेंगे और एक-दूसरे के प्राण लेने पर तुले रहेंगे तथा मूर्ख होते हुए भी अपने को विद्वान मानेंगे। इस प्रकार युग के अंत में सभी क्षत्रिय संसार के लिए काँटे बन जाएँगे। ॥31-33॥ |

| Their physical strength and valour will diminish. They will become arrogant and will be drowned in greed and attachment. Similarly, they will feel pleasure in talking about people and accepting donations from them. Adopting deceitful conduct, they will even accept the donations given by the wicked. O son of Kunti! The sinful kings will challenge each other for war and will be bent upon taking each other's life and despite being foolish, will consider themselves learned. In this way, at the end of the age, all the Kshatriyas will become thorns for the world. ॥31-33॥ |
