पोषणं तस्य राजेन्द्र चक्रे पाण्डवनन्दन:।
बुबुधे न च तं पापं भस्मच्छन्नमिवानलम्॥ ६॥

जनमेजय! पाण्डवों को आनन्द देने वाले युधिष्ठिर ने अन्य ब्राह्मणों की भाँति उसका पालन-पोषण किया। किन्तु राख में छिपी हुई अग्नि के समान वे उस पापी के वास्तविक स्वरूप को नहीं जानते थे।
Janamejaya! Yudhishthira, who gives joy to the Pandavas, looked after him like other Brahmins. But like fire hidden in ashes, he did not know the real nature of that sinner.
