तब भीमसेन ने यमदण्ड के समान विशाल और भारी, सोने के पत्र से मढ़ी हुई एक गदा उठाई और उसे लेकर बड़े वेग से राक्षसों पर टूट पड़े और ललकारते हुए बोले, 'खड़े हो जाओ, खड़े हो जाओ।'॥17॥
Then Bhimasena picked up a mace as huge and heavy as the Yama-danda, covered with gold leaf. With that he rushed upon the demons with great force and shouted in a challenging voice, 'Stand, stand'.॥17॥
