केले के वन में आये पाण्डवपुत्र भीमसेन को इस मार्ग पर आने के कारण किसी से कोई शाप या अपमान न मिले, यह सोचकर महाकपि हनुमानजी उस वन में स्वर्ग का मार्ग रोककर सो गये। उस समय उन्होंने अपना शरीर बड़ा कर लिया था। जब उन्होंने निद्रा के प्रभाव में जम्हाई ली और इन्द्र के ध्वज के समान ऊँचे उस विशाल वानर को डाँटा, तो वह शब्द गड़गड़ाहट के समान था।
Thinking that Pandava's son Bhimasena, who had come to the banana forest, should not receive any curse or insult from anyone for coming on this path, Hanuman, the great ape, went to sleep inside that forest blocking the path to heaven. At that time he had enlarged his body. When he yawned under the influence of sleep and rebuked the huge monkey which was as tall as Indra's flag, then the sound was like the rumbling of thunder. 68-70.
