वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं - जनमेजय! तत्पश्चात् समस्त धनुर्धरों में श्रेष्ठ, परम तेजस्वी योद्धा पाण्डव धनुष, बाण, तरकस, ढाल और तलवार लेकर, हाथों में गौचर्म के दस्ताने पहनकर, श्रेष्ठ ब्राह्मणों को आगे करके द्रौपदी के साथ गन्धमादन पर्वत की ओर चल पड़े।
Vaishampayanji says – Janamejaya! Thereafter, that infinitely brilliant warrior Pandava, foremost among all the archers, took bow, arrows, quiver, shield and sword, wore gloves made of cow's skin in his hands and headed towards Mount Gandhamadan with Draupadi leading the best Brahmins. 1-2॥
