अष्टावक्र बोले - संसार में पुरुषों के लिए दस दिशाएँ बताई गई हैं। दस सौ मिलकर एक हजार होते हैं। गर्भवती स्त्रियाँ दस महीने तक ही गर्भ धारण करती हैं। दस ही निंदक हैं, शरीर की दस ही दो अवस्थाएँ हैं और दस ही तीन पुरुष पूज्य बताये गए हैं॥17॥
Ashtavakra said - Ten directions have been mentioned for men in the world. Ten hundred together make a thousand. Pregnant women carry the fetus for only ten months. There are only ten slanderers, there are only ten 2 states of the body and only ten 3 men are mentioned to be worthy of worship.॥17॥
