उस समय वहाँ बड़ा भारी कोलाहल मच गया। संसार में यह अद्भुत दृश्य देखकर सब राजा द्रौपदी की प्रशंसा और दु:शासन की निन्दा करने लगे। उस समय भीमसेन ने सब राजाओं के सामने हाथ मलते हुए भयंकर गर्जना करते हुए और क्रोध से काँपते हुए होठ बोलते हुए शाप दिया ॥49-50॥
