मुख से निकले हुए कठोर वचनों के बाणों से आहत व्यक्ति दिन-रात दुःख और चिंता में डूबा रहता है। वे केवल दूसरों की भावनाओं को ठेस पहुँचाते हैं; इसलिए विद्वान व्यक्ति को चाहिए कि वह दूसरों के प्रति कठोर वचनों का प्रयोग न करे। ॥7॥
The person hurt by the arrows of harsh words that come out of the mouth remains immersed in sorrow and worry day and night. They only hurt the feelings of others; hence a learned person should not use harsh words towards others. ॥ 7॥
