तत्र तस्थौ महातेजा: शूलपाणिर्महेश्वर:।
पिनाकं सशरं गृह्य बाणस्य हितकाम्यया॥
ज्ञात्वा तमागतं कृष्णं व्यादितास्यमिवान्तकम्।
महेश्वरो महाबाहु: कृष्णाभिमुखमाययौ॥ |

| वहाँ महान एवं तेजस्वी भगवान महेश्वर हाथ में त्रिशूल लिए खड़े थे। जब उन्हें ज्ञात हुआ कि भगवान श्रीकृष्ण मृत्यु के समान मुँह मोड़े हुए आ रहे हैं, तब शक्तिशाली महेश्वर हाथ में पिनाक नामक धनुष और बाण लेकर बाणासुर की सहायता के लिए श्रीकृष्ण के समक्ष आए। |
