देवताओं के लिए उसकी ओर देखना भी कठिन था। ब्रह्माजी से वरदान पाकर उसका अभिमान बहुत बढ़ गया था। श्रीराम ने युद्ध में तीनों लोकों में कंटकरूपी महाबली महाबली रावण को उसके मंत्रियों और वंशजों सहित मार डाला। इस प्रकार समस्त प्राणियों के स्वामी श्री रघुनाथजी ने प्राचीन काल में ही रावण को उसके सेवकों सहित मार डाला और राक्षसराज महात्मा विभीषण को लंका का राजा अभिषिक्त कर वहाँ अमरता प्रदान की।
