आक्रमण के समय शत्रु की स्थिति प्रतिकूल हो, अर्थात् उसके सैनिक स्वस्थ और संतुष्ट न हों। हे राजन! यदि शत्रु द्वारा आपके स्वाभिमान को ठेस पहुँचने की सम्भावना हो, तो आपको वहाँ से भागकर किसी अन्य मित्र राजा की शरण लेनी चाहिए।॥3॥
At the time of attack, the enemy's condition should be adverse, i.e. his soldiers should not be healthy and contented. King! If there is a possibility of your pride being hurt by the enemy, then you should flee from there and take refuge with some other friendly king.॥ 3॥
