तूणाश्मानं वाजिरथप्रवाहां
ध्वजद्रुमै: संवृतकूलरोधसम्।
पदातिनागैर्बहुकर्दमां नदीं
सपत्ननाशे नृपति: प्रयोजयेत्॥ १४॥ |

| शत्रुओं के नाश के लिए राजा को अपनी सेना का उपयोग उस नदी के समान करना चाहिए जिसके तरकश शिलाओं के समान हों, जिसके प्रवाह में घोड़े और रथ शोभायमान हों, जिसके तट ध्वजारूपी वृक्षों से आच्छादित हों और जिसके भीतर पैदल सेना और हाथी गहरी कीचड़ के समान दिखाई देते हों॥14॥ |
