वहां पहुंचकर उन्होंने देखा कि राजा धृतराष्ट्र अपने नित्य कर्मों से निवृत्त होकर गांधारी के पास शांत भाव से बैठे हैं और उनसे थोड़ी दूरी पर माता कुंती सभी शिष्टाचार का पालन करते हुए शिष्या की भांति विनम्रतापूर्वक खड़ी हैं।
